Tým je přivolán k nálezu dvou těl mužů v obchodě se starými deskami. Jeden z mrtvých mužů byl podle dokumentů, které byly u něj nalezeny, příslušníkem námořnictva. Vyšetřovatelé však velmi brzy zjistí, že dokumenty jsou padělány a že takovéto dokumenty druhý z obou mrtvých ve svém obchodě vyráběl. Abby z nalezených přístrojů pro padělání dokáže obnovit poslední tištěný průkaz. Ten zněl na jméno Ruiz, a jak vyšetřovatelé zjistí, tentýž Ruiz s padělaným dokladem se před malým okamžikem nacházel na jedné ze základen námořnictva. McGee vypátrá, že muž na základně sledoval desetiletou dívku. Gibbs se rozhodne ji vzít do ochranné vazby. Otázkou ale zůstává motiv.
