Mladá dvojice narazí cestou pro vánoční stromek na tělo mrtvého muže. Je jím Thomas Ellis, jehož otec George působí jako reverend. Vychází najevo, že Thomas přešel před osmi měsíci na muslimskou víru. Jedním z těch, kdo ho nechápal, je seržant Tibbons. Tvrdí, že Thomas představoval nebezpečí pro ostatní, a připustí, že mu kdosi za Thomasovo navrácení k původní víře dokonce slíbil peníze. Brzy vyjde najevo, že za touto snahou byl Thomasův otec. Podezřelá z vraždy je i Thomasova manželka Tina, která mu byla nevěrná. Teprve když se muslimský kaplan zmíní, jak rozdílný je Thomasův mladší bratr Patrick, zaměří policisté pozornost i na něho. Gibbse překvapí příjezd otce, kterého se pokusí zaměstnat modelováním letadel a lodí pro děti v nemocnicích. Když téměř podpálí dům, je Gibbsovi jasné, že je se seniorem cosi v nepořádku. Vychází najevo, že otec byl přepaden a nyní se vyrovnává s faktem, že musel někoho zastřelit. Abby navštíví její přítelkyně ze školy Carol a žádají McGeeho, aby jim pomohl s dárkem pro malého synovce. Chce na Vánoce vidět matku, ale ta slouží právě v Indickém oceánu. McGee jim spojení zprostředkuje. Tony se zase snaží splnit přání Delores, která si jako malá přála panenku, ale nikdy ji nedostala.(TV Nova)
