S07E03 - The Inside Man
Matt Burns dopadne z mostu přímo na staveniště, kde zůstane ležet bez známek života. Krátce před svou smrtí se chystal na blogu uveřejnit nová fakta o NCIS, kterou obviňoval z toho, že zatajila vraždu Roda Arnetta, když jeho smrt šetřila jako autonehodu, neboť dotyčný obchodoval s informacemi z Pentagonu. Burnsův blog navíc zmiňoval řadu dalších pochybení významných a vlivných lidí, jejichž prokázání by pro ně mohla mít fatální následky. Zatímco NCIS řeší Burnsovu smrt, metropolitní policie se zabývá Burnsovým obviněním špatné práce NCIS. Ta znovu prověřuje okolnosti případu smrti Roda Arnetta. Jeho kolegyně Jessica Summersová zprvu pouze potvrdí, že Arnett jezdil příliš rychle, takže příčina jeho smrti je tedy více než pravděpodobná, posléze ji však NCIS usvědčí, že měla s Arnettem nějakou dobu poměr a byla jeho zdroj z Pentagonu. Ona sama si pak vzpomene na vládní kontrakt s McAllister Industries a na to, jak Arnett slavil, že vydělal spoustu peněz na burze. To si již Tony i McGee uvědomují, že smrti Burnse a Arnetta mají něco společného.(TV Nova)
