J. L. McCabe se chystá se svým přítelem a jeho dospívajícím synem na ryby. Osud tomu chce tak, že nakonec pluje jen Tlusťoch s chlapcem. Snaží se k sobě vzájemně najít cestu, k čemuž dostanou ideální příležitost. McCabe náhodou objeví na lodi bombu, kterou chtěli gangsteři usmrtit jeho přítele. Po explozi se spolu s mladíkem ocitají na ostrově a snaží se přežít. Zatímco Jake a Derek se těžko smiřují s možností, že je jejich šéf po smrti, gang se snaží přeživší posádku lodě postřílet...
