McKay a Zelenka našli způsob, jak odrazit Wraithy - našli antický satelit, který by je mohl zastavit. Jenže satelit je vybitý a McKay s Grodinem ho vyráží zapnout. Zelenka zjistí, že i kdyby se satelit povedlo nabít, nemusel by být tak účinný, jak si mysleli. Kdyby se obrana Atlantidy nepovedla, Zelenka chce napsat virus, který by smazal celou antickou databázi. Mezitím je na Atlantidě nalezen seržant Beates s wraithskou DNA na uniformě... Rodneymu se povedlo opravit satelit a odlétá, zatímco Grodin zůstává, aby satelit mohl skrýt před Wraithy. Povedlo se - jedna z jejich lodí je zničena, jenže satelit nemůže dál střílet a zbylé lodě ho zaměří a zničí... Atlantida se začíná obávat nejhoršího.(Varan)
